Most of us drive in and out of our driveways and never take the time to really look at our homes exterior. We may double check the yard, make sure the grass is mowed and the flowers watered, but when was the last time you walked around the entire outside of your house looking at the walls and siding?
If your house is at least 7-10 years old, or you have been living in it for this long, it is probably a good idea to check the paint. There are 3 main things to look for:
- Peeling paint - Cracking paint - Fading paint
If you have any of these 3 showing in your house, it is a good idea to call up a local paint company and have a professional come out and do a walk around with you. A respectable painter will tell you if you need to have your house painted right away or if you will be okay for a year or two.
How do you find a respectable painter? First ask friends and neighbors for recommendations. Then check the companies out with your local Better Business Bureau. Next schedule an appointment; this will help you get a better idea as to how each company operates. Finally compare the estimates, weigh all of the options and schedule your appointment. Make sure to sign a contract before any work is started and double check the painter’s warranties.
Just Details Painting has been serving the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas for more the 15 years and has an A+ rating with the BBB.
